Lowering Ping..

Does anyone know any ping lowering tweaks for cable modem specifically for Counter-strike? I used to have 40 ping on my fac (and only server) and now my ping has increased anywhere from 100-170. Any cs tweak sites would also be nice. Thanks.

lol, first off your ping jumping like is either your ISP or your config (my bet)

Id check your NIC drivers, data rate in CS, and anything else you can think if... and if there were a "tweak" that simply lowered your ping instantly im sure it would be very popular and everyone would have it but it doesnt work like that.
