Windows Network Booster 1.2 anything better?

This is my first post. I just installed AT&T Road runner service.

I was getting 240 kbps then i found Windows Network Booster 1.2 which brought my speeds up to 850-900 kbps. The only problem is that every 24hrs it seems i have to reinstall it. My speed drops down to the original 240. Is this something the cable copmany is doing or it my pc.?
