First things first. Edit your post and remove your IP number.......

You don't want a little hacker pinging you for the next two weeks.

Looks like you're missing (or need) a few patches. go here (http://www.speedguide.net/Cable_modems/cable_patches.shtml) and do some reading and downloading. You will need about three patches.

There is going to be a "pop-quize" when you get back... so take notes!

Are we having fun yet? I am... and I do hope a smart person comes along soon!!!!

Sorry. Had to step away. So it worked? Cool!!!!:D

Looks like the RWIN could use some work but that will have to be another day. The wife says I have 5 more minutes and then I have to get off.

omy38, I hate to be the one to tell you this but our patch is not installed on your computer, go to where you unzipped patch too, RIGHT click on it (Where you unzipped it too) up to install or merge, click and REBOOT
:) :) :)

The TCP/IP Analyzer reports that there was no change in your settings. When you downloaded the patches, did you install it the way the instructions said to?(you get a confirmation once you install it saying:patch was successfully merged into the registry) Then after installing them did you reboot?

By the way, welcome to SpeedGuide.

Lobo

omy38, Patch is not in, do NOT RIGHT click on patch you downloaded, but where you UNZIPPED it too:) :) :)

Lobo
07-07-01, 10:17 AM
piranha, setting Tcp1323Opts to 1 allows scalling, in other words allows your RWIN to get above 65535
:)

omy38
07-07-01, 02:19 PM
Ok, I downloaded 3 patches but my numbers are still the same .how can I tell if the patches took? my rwin is the same so now what?

Lobo
07-07-01, 02:23 PM
Just download and unzip the speed patch for your OS again, it will just overwrite what you already downloaded, when you unzip it, pay attention to where it goes as this is where you RIGHT click on it to install, probably in program files:)
