I just bought a SMC Barricade Router. I followed the manual and everything and I can connect to the internet just fine. But the thing is, everything is super slow now. I usually ping 30-80 in games, now I am pinging 200+. Anyone know why my connection has slowed down so much? Is there any way to speed it up with the router?

Router shouldn't have slowed you down much. Yes a router will add a tiny bit of latency and eat at your throughput rates a tiny bit, since it is another hop. So will any method of connection sharing. Although I'm not fan of SMC/Assante routers, it shouldn't give you a cut in performance like that.
Did you do anything different to your computer when you went with the router other than perhaps change TCP properties?
Cable or DSL?

Well, I've had my SMC Barricade router since before they came out in the stores and never had any problem like this. But the gentleman before was correct, get the latest firmware upgrade and install it. Also, SMC also has 24/7 support so you can call them as well.
All else fails, http://www.smc.com

Not that this may serve any relevance to your situation, but just thought that you might want to know that the last router that i purchased from SMC totally crashed my system with a Windows protection error, which appered whever i turned my computer on. This stopped me from using my computer for about 3 months. So...if i were you i would not buy SMC products to begin with.

Careful there hero. Like I said earlier, I've had my router from SMC before it was on retail shelves and have never had this problem.
I wouldn't say "NEVER BUY one just because I had problems". I had a linksys that wouldn't let me on line. But that was my problem with the router, not everyone has this problem.

I don't mean to make them look bad or anything :) I've just had so many problems with their products
