Lately, it's been messing up on me. While playing, it freezes, then I get a blue screen error and when I press "any key" my screen flashes and I get returned to my desktop. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it still does it. The other games I have (Half-Life+Counter Strike) work just fine. Do you think it may be the controller I have? When I installed it, it was on my old motherboard... I switched motherboards without reinstalling it, but I don't think that may matter. Anyway, any idea's of what's going on? My video card is NVIDIA Alladin TNT2 and it's sharing 32MB of my system's RAM.
Pentium III 866MHz/Windows 98 SE/192MB RAM
Thanks in advance.
Are you sure you have an alladin TNT or is that what windows thought it was?
Do you guys play online? I went to play online and it says "Need update, wanna download now" I hit ok, and the game closes out. Where can I get this update?

Why?
Because windows thought my TNT was an alladin until I corrected it.
It ran a tad slower when it was set on alladin.

HMMM looks to me like there is a missing file, or a corrupt one. And since Files on CD's don't just disapear I'm betting its ur mobo. You should try removing the old drivers for it, and installing the new ones, plus the latest 4 in 1's from VIA. But EvilAjax I'm betting it's a problem with your new mobo, and windows just thinking its the old one. I say this because its a timing error which most of the time will take place on your mobo trying to direct info the the right card, but it sends it to the wrong card cuz of windows thinking its the old mobo(correct me if I'm wrong) So just set up ur new mobo drivers, and see if that fix's it. Peace:2cool:

I still think a format would make things run A LOT smoother and cleaner...mobo upgrades can cause an assortment of problems with drivers and the like...a reformat would start it fresh.

Maybe it's caused by low memory? Look at this new error once it crashed again.

Run-time error... not sure why they're caused. Thanks for the help so far guys.

Seems to be working fine now. I set the refresh rate of my Video Card to optimal instead of default and that seems to work.
Quick question, are there any cops in this game? I want to be chased, because destroying these other racers is beginning to bore me. Oh yeah, and how do I get the GT1 Race version? You know, the FASTEST porshe in the game... I need it! LOL.. Thanks ;)

It happened again!! Nooooooo :(
Once I installed Driver it was working fine until I got a BSOD... then Need For speed crashed again... I think it's my sound driver... The BSOD said something about audio and cmedia...

In device manager, I have this for Sound, video and game controllers
C-Media PCI Audio Legacy Device
CMI8738/C3DX PCI Audio Device
DOS Mode MPU-401 Emulator
Gameport Joystick
HID-compliant game controller
InterAct SV-253 ProPad 8 Digital(MorayPad Digital) USB
Do I have two Audio devices installed? Is this right? Could this be what is causing these errors, crashes and blue screens? I don't even know where to get the updated drivers for sound..... :(

Crap, I think it's my OLD Audio Device still in here causing a conflict... I just looked at my Driver folder before this new motherboard and it has the CMI8738 drivers in there... that means I still have the old one in here... what do I do? Click Remove?

Evolution is the carreer mode, right? Well, howcome when I click it it brings me to a screen that does nothing at all. Just sits there. At the top it says Classic Era, then some other eras. I try clicking all over the place to see if it brings me anywhere.... nope... the only thing that could get me out of there was the only clickable icon... options.. any ideas guys? Why is this happening? And no, I didn't buy it and it's not on a cd, it's files in a directory :)
Thanks in advance.
