View Full Version : Internet Explorer Problem
I was using a warez search engine and clicked a link for a game only to be bombarded with porno pop ups from warezhangout.com ( i think )
Now my homepage is at some stupid ass search engine and when I try to open internet options it says I cant because of restrictions on my account. ( I AM THE ADMIN  )
I have repaired IE, and reinstalled it all together to no avail.
It all works fine when I log in to a dif account but when I use admin it wont let me
I have deleted all IE plug-ins, ran ad-aware, and double checked my admin permissions as well.
Is there any way I could reset all permissions? (dont say format)
All suggestion welcome

check out this thread ping
START | RUN type MMC
Console | Add/Remove Snap In
Add
Group Policy | Add | Finish | Close | OK
Expand Local Computer Policy
Expand User Configuration
Expand Administrative Templets Folder
Expand Windows Components Folder
Expand Internet Explorer Folder
Set all sub policies to "Not Configured" Paying special attention to folders "Internet Control Panel" and "Browser Menus"
Any settings that are enabled will either remove the specified function all together or will diasble the function.
Search all poliied under Internet Explorer. You can revoke any IE related privilage or function to any account (including admin) under this console.
Works only in win 2 K.

Sounds like u could benefit from using AtGuard. AtGuard will kill all those annoying Pop-ups when u visit your favorite (porn) sites :D
u can DL a free version of it here (http://atguard.da.ru/).
LMAO, it was definetally a porn site but i was expecting games *blushes* *wink* :D
