FTP question?

If I log into a public ftp server, right click a file and hit "Copy to". It starts downloading to my hard drive. But I need to use a resume prog to download it cuz its huge! But if I right click the file, go to properties and get the address of it, like ftp://blah/blah/blah.crap.zip and paste it into by browser or getright, nuttin happens, it just sits there? :confused:

That program dosent mess with the registry or anything does it?
