Ok guys every now and then me and my friends get together and have a LAN party since there's no real form of broadband out here yet. So my friend gets out his hub, we plug in, set the protocals and play. Since I built my new system I used my old RealTek8209/HP1027 Fast Ethernet card. Too many problems with it so I went out and bought a new Linksys LNE100TX Fast Ethernet adapter. My problem is when I go into network properties and remove IPX/SPX, and NetBEUI for the AOL, and Dial up adapters I restart like it says and then there right back there. This is making my new pc incompatable when it comes to gaming on a LAN, but sharing files still works.... sometimes lol. I'm currently running WinME but I'll get 2K Pro running once I download all my drivers for my stuff but in the meantime how do i fix this? Thanks. Peace:2cool:

This is one of the reasons why I hate the Novell NetWare client, as opposed to the Microsoft client for NetWare. You will need to run the uninstall program that comes with the Novell client. If you don't have the client, you can always download it from the Novell website, install it, then uninstall it. Once you do that, IPX won't rebind itself to your adapters again.

You're very welcome.. I've worked in IT for over three years, so I've had my share of headaches. ;) Enjoy.
