Hey All!

Im running one system on Win2K pro, one of 98SE and another on WinMe...these are all connected to a Linksys router who is connected on Videotron Cable ISP....

now ...all drives on all machines are shared..with no passwords...
the win2k can see and access the drives on the winme system
the winme system can access drives on the win98se system...but
the winme and win98se systems try to get on the win2k system and it asks for a password...i did not set a pass....

how do i take out or change this pass???? and why can i not see the win98se systems

You have to either login to the ME computer with the same ID and password as one of the accounts on the W2k machine. Or setup a account on the W2K machine that you are using for the ME computer.

You have Win2K...which is basically Windows NT Workstation version 5.0, which has Windows NT Workstation 4.0 security because it's meant for the corporate office.

Well, one of a couple of ways to do it:
***Create accounts for each user, username/password
***Log onto the workstation as that exact user, same username/password, to create a local PWL file. Make sure you are doing a network logon, that that useless MS Family Logon.
***The shares on the NT box...share them out to those accounts under the security/permissions.
