Someone Tell me how to open patches

WHen i downlaod the patch it is not a zip file, can anyone help me please i really need help..

if its a .reg file just double click on it. If its an .inf file don't open it just right click on it and select install.:D

when i clcik install should anything come up cause nothing did but i still rebooted computer after

no nothing should come up, Just give it about 2 seconds just to make shure it installs then reboot.:)

what happenes is it installed the patch then as you did a reboot is next
