No problem w/ my SWBELL DSL connection... 1mb downloads, very happy,:rotfl: however a strange problem with the actual phone (voice) connection. When I answer the phone, I get about 7 secs. of static on the line which I can barely hear the caller. If I call someone... NO static. If I have my Efficient Networks 4060 USB modem off, I get NO static, so it is my modem that is causing the "noise".

Has anyone heard of this problem?

Try getting some new filters

Tried two other brands of filters, besides the ones included with the modem, with no change.

I have run a direct line from the Phone Companies Network Interface and it still gives me the static when the USB Modem is plugged in and active. SWBELL doesn't seem to now what the problem is, however they have never sent a technican out to diagnose. SWBELL Customer Service thinks its my lines, but if I unplug the modem the static goes away! Please can anyone help!

Did you install a splitter in conjunction w/ the dedicated run?
