bad speed

hi... i have a satellite connection.
it's supposed to download at a 128K speed. but what i get is 13-60K.. why is that????
i contacted my isp and told them about it. they said nothing is wrong with my connection? this is weird.. WHY?

i also changed my MTU value to 1500. and when i clicked on the TCP/IP analyzer. it said my value is fully optimized.. but still slow. please if any one can help me with this problem.. cause this is my 1st time i got a fast connection.. but it's not :( ......

Hhm.. wrong forum.. but...

Your service is probably 128Kb/sec which is 128 kilobits which equals to about 15KB/sec (kilobytes, this is what you see when downloading).

So the speeds you are getting are what you should be getting, you won't be able to go higher since that is your cap.
