Having problems with ME network settings

I don't have any kind of network. This is my on my home PC.After rebooting I get an error message that reads,"Anetworking error has occured.You might not have access to some network...". Thats pretty close to what it says. When I go to My Network Places,I can't access the Entire Network folder. Is tis because I don't have a network? Any ideas?
