View Full Version : Got some questions about splitters, tv, and and signal amps
going to split the signal from the cable internet line to my room (tv;) ) but what splitter should i use, and should i go buy an amp. Price doesn't matter
No Amp, get splitter from cable company as they know how much signal your modem needs:) :)
i can't have the cable company do it, remember my hookup;) ;) ;)
I guess call Radio Shack and see if they can help you:) :)
ok i got the splitter and an amp. should i put the amp before or after i split the signal:confused:
I don't think you use amp:) :)
I just always heard you did not use amp, you did not get regular TV splitter did you, if you did try it by itself, or call CompUSA and tell them one end goes to TV and one to modem, see the splitter will have no affect on speed, just if you are connected or not:) :)
no speed loss and crystel clear picture on the tv:)
Well great, can we all come over and watch movies with you?:) :)

I begged the installer to put my digital cable and my cable modem on seperate drops, as I was afraid that it would slow my already crappy connection. He claims that they don't ever do that... so I told him to go ahead and split it.
My TV picture is perfect, and my connection speed is the same as it was pre-digital cable. I guess I was worried for nothing.
Lobo you are welcome to come over for some movies. I get everything except Pay Per View with the package I have now!
:D
