is there any way to put the intellimouse prog backup into the startup.
whenever i click on the cleanup in the msconfir it removes the prog from the starup

What mouse do you have?

regualr ball mouse? or optical?

either way the software built into win 9x + works fine.

I use it for my optical and it works fine, and most games recgonize the extra buttons (if oyu have any) so unless you absolutely want to use the extra buttons for surfing or something else Id say you dont need it.

if you want it in your startup again find where the program is located.... then create a shortcut from it and cut and paste that shortcut into your startup folder in the start menu

hey what does that cleanup button do anyhow? does it just delete everything that windows didnt originally install in the first install or what?

i copied the prog to the start up menu but it no start when windows loads?:confused:

dont copy the .exe bud

Just right click it and "create shortcut"

then CUT that short cut into your startup folder..

you can access your start menu by right clicking the start button and selecting "explore"

If you have already done this add a key in the registry
