I personally only burn mp3's, so I have no idea how to do this. What is the EASIEST way to take a couple of cd's and make a mix out of them. you know, put your favorite songs together on one cd from a couple of cd's you own. A friend of mine just put a sony cdrw into his pent200 and that's all he wants to do.

thanks!

Their right, If you can afford it get the new Version 5 Platimen. It real nice for mixing and a lot more.;)

If you get the new PLATINUM 5, AND your OS is WIN2K....do not install the "Take Two" module....use the custom installation and don't install "Take Two".
The consequences can be "no booting to Win2k" after installation and you have to unplug all USB devices and your re-writer....then it MAY boot.
Go here (http://www.roxio.com) to read all about it:2cool:

onetrueday. Any burning software will work.

As far as from cd to cd, you may need to play around with what software your using.

Another way to do this is to "rip" the songs you like to a wav file on your harddrive. Then burn from from it. Simply adjust the list the way you want them burned.

Actually I like the above way. It's a little slower but IMO, more accurate.

Downhill you are right, A maybe but as you stated just alittle more slower. But I perfer it to NERO! Which some people like. But I find EASYCD to be a little better. :)

Thanks for all your help. I pefer musicmatch and nero, but he was lucky enough to know someone who recently bought Plant. 5 and was able to give him adapt. 4. He's not very computer literate, but I think it'll be easy enough to use.

thanks!

For absolute ease of use I suggest MusicMatch. It allows you to RIP audio from CD's and record to make your own custom playlists.

I absolutely agree that music match jukebox is the easiest app to use and it's completely free!

Just pop in as many cd's you want, record the songs you want as you go and then create a playlist from those songs. Once you have the playlist, simply hit the CD-R button and you'll be on your way! Really. it's that simple.

If you want to take your mixes to a new level, you can try using a proggie called Cooledit 2000. You can add all sorts of effects to each song to fit your tastes. You can add reverbs, and delays, and filters and subwoofer boosts...the list goes on and on. I do it all the time to add more punch and ambience to certain songs.

Yes, I agree that musicmatch is the best. In fact, version 5 is all I use to make music cd's. However, i dont think he's smart enough to use it. Yes, for us it is easy to use; but he couldnt even install the burner himself. Nor can he understand the differance between ram and hard drive space free. I've explained that one to him 5 times...still gets it confused though.

Maybe he should be using cassette tapes instead..lol..he'll get it in time, I'm sure as we all did.:)

Ping, by reading most of your post's, I'm surprised you'd use such a progarm. I suppose it's ripping part is ok.
