here are some trojan ports
Port 20034= NetBus Pro
Port 11000= Senna Spy

Best practice is not to download crap and to not install software that you haven't scanned for virii or trojans. Download from trusted sources and stay away from the warez bordz. ;)

Sub7 2.0 is not limited to port 1234 or 24374. With version 2.0 of the trojan you can specify the port to which the virus open the window of destruction. My suggestion is to close every port you can that doesnt affect your everyday computer surfing.

those are the default ports. The "hacker" can change those. And it doesn't matter what you download. Trojans can now be hidden in mp3 files, and you don't even have to open the file. I know of 23 trojans that are out on the kazaa network right now, in mp3 form of course:sleep:

hmm, so if someone is sending a trojan/virus that does not have to be started to a port then shouldnt a firewall be able to stop that from entering my computer, like someone mentioned the latest back orifice,

and does a new anrivirus prog pick up on infected mp3s and does the virus in a mp3 only spread if u play it?

oh, and another question abot port scans, does ZoneAlarm alert the user about port scans? it seems as when i used Black Ice i got many port scans and trojan scans(netbus, backorifice) and it told me about it every time, but now i use norton personall firewall and i have only had 1 alert, about a netbus scan or something,
doesnt norton pick up on port scans or is it such a minor thing that it dont need to tell me?

all i know right now is that the file is within another file(mp3 mostly) most of the time when you get a trojan or virus in a file its named like this song.mp3.vbs. But with this new progrma the "hacker" can put the virus in an mp3 file and the name will look like this song.mp3. If it is a virus it will only spread when you open it. If you got a virus scanner like norton antivirus running all the time don't worry about this. but if you have some piece of crap virus scanner get a good one. yeah firewall will block it but with trojans they can be named something like Internet Explorer, or microsoft auto update. So its always good to watch your ports.

SubZero man as a former member of ellite hackers.com i know have heard about and know quite a few people myself who connect to the nap server and wait till someone somewhere downloads an mp3...when they do they bypass it using a (special) program and insert the mps..
it doesnt neccaserally have to be the pc your downloading it from who has infected you with the trogan it can allso be onlookers~!
good thing you allerted the guys about this 1 sebzero most people dont know it can be done~!:D
