View Full Version : Lobo...Cablenut 4.02 questions for you
I see on the Broadbandnuts site that the Cablenut program has been redone. It is now a single program. Do I need to changeover to that or stay where I am? Just to refresh you...I'm using WinME and using the 4.0 with 4.02 update.:)
I have not seen it yet, but try it and see if it's better than what you have:)
Duh...I guess what I should have asked you was this: do I need to uninstall the 4.02 I have now, save my settings as a custom file setting, install new program and then import saved files? sorry if I'm sounding a bit confused this morning!:)

Posted about the new CableNut adjuster;
v4.02 (06/04/01)
- Incorporated new installer using 1.42 NSIS compiler.
- v4.02 is now a full program w/o the update needed.
- Updated CCS file settings.
- Optimized installer made idiot proof (heh).
- Made sure the VB 6 runtimes get installed correctly.
- Miscellaneous CCS file setting fixes.
- Fixed program writing invalid registry data types in Windows Millenium, and Windows 95.
- Improved user interface by removing specific Operating System selection buttons.
- Optimized startup code by moving it into sub main().
- Registry restore/backup feature should work correctly now.
All previous CableNut patches could be installed over the older versions. But like you said.. save your setting and then if you decide the setting you have now is better, then you should be able to open the adjuster's files and retrieve it from there.
A Quote from CableNut himself...
NOTE: Backup any of your 'personal' CCS files before installing/uninstalling.
Hopes this help! :)
Yes, I would save setting's in case you ever want them back:) :)
