I know that 1000=1Kilo and 1,000,000=1Mega and so on but doesnt 1Kbit =1024 Bytes

its equal to 2.734 megabites

1 meg =1024 kilobytes

the K is only a prefix meaning 1000 or mulitply 2800x1000

2800k does not equal 2.8m

1 gig =1024 megs
1 meg = 1024 K
1 KB = 1024 bytes
