Help with AIM and a firewall.

i have a cable router/switch and i can't transfer files through aim. the router acts as a firewall, and it shoots down anything in or out from AIM. i tried opening port 5190 as a service port, but it didnt work. any ideas. thanks in advance

Try to reinstall AIM, make shure that your firewall is allowing AIM to access the internet. Good Luck

Ok in the newest version of aim their is a place where you can setup for firewall transfers of files by adding the port you want to use. You can get the lastest at www.updates.com GoodLuck!;)
