I heard from the guy that installed my cable-modem that they strip the outgoing bandwith on it.
He also said there's "patches" out there to re-open the outgoing bandwith on cable. The modem has a MAC-address and an RS232-outlet. So, I guess you can use either one connection to modify or upgrade the firmware on the modem. Does anyone know anything about this, and have you done it yourself?
(My cable-modem is provided by Rogers@Home and the type is Motorola CyberSURFR)

The new terminology used to replace the keyword uncapping is cracking me up! LOL

Sorry, didn't know that this BBS is run by impertinent communists.

Uncapping is not legal. This site doesn't condone illegal activities.
It is stealing and won't be discussed here. Read the "sticky" post at the top of this forum and have some respect. This isn't your site, so don't come in here and start calling anyone a communist.
Go register your OWN domain name and post all the uncapping crap you want.

Next time READ or do a search FIRST and you will learn allot.
I suggest you contact that cable guy and ask him for the "patches".

Yodog that doesn't look like it will work. The cable ISP controlls evrything not you. If it does work have fun on 56k.
