Well... to all of my fellow VERIZON DSL Users!!! Get RASPPPoE!!! It WILL make a difference. Trust me. I was reluctant to use it myself, but after not being able to log on for 6 hours (!!!) I got pissed and uninstalled that stupid freakin' WinPoet crap. IMMEDIATELY after installing and configuring the RASPPPoE software, I was able to log on WITH NO PROBLEMS AT ALL! I dont get any of those stupid error codes anymore either!

Another problem that the RASPPPoE sofware solved was the "standby" problem. If you use Verizons WinPoet software, the program ceases to function after you "put your PC to sleep". When you wake your system up, you cant log on. You either CTRL/ALT/DEL, shut the WinPoet software down, and restart the application, or you restart the computer. PAIN IN THE BUTT! Now I just sign on as if nothing ever happened.

BTW... I think I've dealt with the dummies over at Verizon enough to know that they basically dont know jack. Especially when it comes to log-on problems.

Get RASPPPoE. You'll be glad you did!

He's right. Winpoet is a piece of shat. I once posted something like that a while ago. I use VOL also... how are your speeds? I can help you get the most out of your bandwidth because I know the best tweaks for VOL. RASPPPoE kicks ass, so does Enternet. I'm currently using RASPPPoE. If you'd care to learn some tweaks, lemme know. I'll be happy to help you. First though, how much speed are you getting? And what package are you currently using?
