Hi All,

I'm attempting to set up a speedstream router. My ISP has given me 5 statics, default gateway address and a subnet mask. For discussions sake, the statics are .161 thru .165 and the gateway is .166. The gateway can be pinged from outside the router, so I'm assuming that it's the ISPs router. I cannot ping any of the statics when I assign them to my pc's, so I'm assuming some setting up needs to be done. How do I set up my router so I can see the static IPs from outside? I'm will be setting up a DNS server as well. Any help or any links would be appreciated.

Thanks

Low-end routers will not support multiple IP's.

You'll need a Cisco or the like for that.

Sorry,

I am facing the exact issue myself. My ISP has given me 5 statics, default gateway address and a subnet mask. I have the same router given to me from the ISP so I expect it to be capable of providing what I need. My ISP, Ameritech, however will not assist with programing the router. I feel this is due to VPN reasons Try this manual from Efficient Networks, http://www.support.efficient.com/docs/pdf/Techrefguide.pdf I have not yet been able to connect yet either.

Sorry, I misread your first post and thought you had the typical cable/dsl router, Linksys sort of thing.
