2) Signal strength doesnt affect the speed of which you download or upload with cable. Only if you are connected or disconnected.
3) The caps you have are what you have. Pay for more speed with DSL or live with it.
4) Packetloss isnt something we can fix, call your ISP and have them troubleshoot it.
5) If you are on cable with a Moto modem or another proprietary modem, and pings suck, go DOCSIS if its avalible. Fixed my problems.
6) @home doesnt suck, they run a good business and if 3mbps/128kbps is the way they want it, deal with it or leave.
7) IF you arent reaching max speeds:
A) If you have DSL, and are getting 80-85% max speed, you're good.
B) IF you have cable, tweak, or you have a low cap. See Lobo.
