Hey Crazyman, try this one out. Go for the full scan which will require you to leave your puter on and will get the results back in email. It takes about 1 to 2 hours for the complete scan.

Port Scan (http://www.sdesign.com/securitytest/index.html) :D

TheCroc had a good test site posted awhile back and I can't find it now. If you want to leave him a message in PM or something, you might want to try his tests.

Yeap, it's free, but you have to submit your email address or you won't get a report back. That is the longest it took to scan mine. Sometimes it can get you all scanned in 1 hour or less, just depends on traffic at testing time.:)

Vulnerabilities.org (http://vulnerabilities.org) is an awesome scanner that actually uses NMAP to scan a remote computer. It's free and they report their results via email.

emixnem: You may want to try some of the other test sites as well, though I don't think your going to see any different results.
It's just always good to get a second, third, etc, opinion from different places. Just be sure to check the sites privacy policy as Ken said.:)

As blebbs posted about Portscan . It is a good site. just use it during less busy times and you can get it back in less then a hour. Plus it does a great job. Better then some of them . Does all ports not just the highest for being traced by hackers. :) :) ;)

Bad_Boy_Aus - These may help answer your inquiry.

For PORT= 139 info - check this site - http://www.infowar.com/hacker/00/hack_060500a_j.shtml

For PORT= 21 info - check this site - http://www.dshield.org/ports/port21.html

The one port 21 is for ftp and the other lets all the net see your files. Are you running a good firewall. Plus if you are not networking make sure you remove Client forMIcrosoft Network form the control Panel Under Network Icon and File and printer shareing for Client for Microsoft network. These two only. They will disable Port 137. Then choose agood firewall such as Zonealarm at www.zonelabs.com Or Tinypersonal firewall from www.tinysoftware.com . Tiny is harder to configure you might want to go with zonealarm. If you are running a router you might want to shut these port threw it. Another program I can think of it PortBlocker from www.analogx.com This is not a firewall but will let you block or open ports. Hope this helps you out. GoodLuck!;)

I find the best way is to download a port scanner and usuing another computer say a friends or another one you have scan yourself with it on both UDP and TCP. You can also do other test and they are more controled because you cans top them at anytime.
