Is there anything wrong with running 4 different software firewalls at one time? So far, nothing is conflicting with the other. I also do have a NAT firewall running, so i guess that should make it 5!

What i'm doing is just beta testing them to see which will actually serve as the primary software firewall..

running:
Sygate personal firewall
Tiny personal firewall
BlackICE
Zone Alarm Pro

and the NAT is from my Linky

I know that doing this could cause a bit of confusion with the others vector or system intrusion detection.. If everything's seems cool with all the programs, is there anything that i should look into further or eliminate the ones that i don't need??

If I had to pick one of the software firewalls, I'd be leaning towards Tiny right now. However given that you have a Linksys, you might want to try it with Link Logger (www.linklogger.com) as it will let you see your inbound/outbound traffic, alerts, alarms, do searches, reports, etc and works with the logging information sent from your Linksys Router, so you can see what is happening on your whole network and not just one machine.

 man your lucky i clicked on your post im a internet security specialist and i can tell you strayt up that having or even 2 firewalls on your computer at the same time is not good...infact stupid and dangerous.when you have all 4 running they conflict as they all try to mask the same ports **
just run the 1 man.. thas how it should be...

Thanks for all the feedback.

Yeah, this question has come across my mind while testing out which one to use. I love Zapro and the Sygate personal firewall features. I wish that ZA would get a nice port manager like Sygate and TPF.

As far as resources where involved, I have 512MB of Pc133.. that wasn't at all my concern, but thanks for the response. I should've told you that from the get go.

What I'm going to do is just run the NAT and use ZAP for my system. This should be ok right? The NAT hardware and then Za for a software firewall.
