I just purchased a Netgear RT314( by the way great deal only $49 after rebates from CompUSA).

I just tried to run mirc and can't get a connection?

Any ideas??

Thanks.

Port forward 113 to the machines running MIRC

I've never had to do a thing for mIRC, with a Linksys, NetGear, or my current Netopia. Should work fine, rolled right over when I changed from dial up to DSL last year. My gaming rig has abolutely no ports forwarded to it, and it's the one I use mIRC on.

Yeold,

I keep getting " klined " when I try to log on.

I will try the port 113 forwarding, Thanks CM

Latest version of mIRC? I just downloaded it and installed it on a freshly reformatted rig the other night, and again, didn't not have to do a single thing as far as configuring my router for the computer, nothing done to any ports, nothing done to mIRC....just ran setup, my nickname, and away I went.

Hi there,

I believe I have close to the latest version of Mirc. It apperas that the server that I use Dalnet, requires Ident and I had to port forward port 113 to my pc to enable the ident. I have heard that different servers have different requirements to log on so maybe the servers you use don't require ident.

Have a good one.

Hmmm, perhaps. I use the NY and Hebron Indiana servers.
