Go to help page below in sig, in middle of first is a link to DSL. We have a speed patch for DSL users, just read it all, you will see it and if your on PPPoE theirs a patch for that too, plus on help page their is section on PPPoE after you click on DSL, PPPoE will be on far left. PPPoE means you have to log on with name and password everytime you go on net:) :) :)

Well with such a small CPU and hardly any RAM, your stuck, get at least 64 more megs of RAM for alittle improvement, take analyzer and post results, please
Please click in my signature where it says Test your tweak here, then:
At top where it says edit click and select, Select all,
Then go back to same edit button at top, click and select copy.
Come back to Speedguide, same thread you were on, in post reply box, with cursor blinking at begining of box go to top, edit, click, select paste, click, this will put information in box. Please X out your IP address, Thank you.:) :)

Compaq crappy, I have Compaq is this crappy:

Bandwidth Down 8121 Kbits/sec
Bandwidth Up 1131 Kbits/sec
Average Ping 57 ms
Ping Loss 0%
TCP Receive Window ??????
External IP Address xxxxxxxxxxx
Internal IP Address xxxxxxxxxxx
Browser MSIE 6.0b; 5.1
IE current cache 0 MB
IE max cache 10 MB
:) :) :)

info

before i tweaked my pc:

TCP properties for IP = 208.*.** (*.*.*.*.atl.bellsouth.net)
Note: Read the FAQ if the above is not your IP address.
Browser/OS = Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows 98)

TCP options string = 02040586010303030101080a000000000000000001010402

MTU = 1454
MTU is not fully optimized for broadband. Consider increasing your MTU to 1500 for better throughput.

MSS = 1414
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1402, which is less than MSS because of Timestamps, or other TCP/IP options used.
MSS is not fully optimized for broadband (although it might work well for slower connections). Consider increasing your MTU value.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 372296
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 3 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 46537
For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
520352 (MSS x 46 * scale factor of 8)
260176 (MSS x 46 * scale factor of 4)
130088 (MSS x 46 * scale factor of 2)
65044 (MSS x 46)

bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 14891.84 kbps (1861.48 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 5956.736 kbps (744.592 KBytes/s) @ 500ms

MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = OFF

Time to live left = 111 hops
TTL value is ok.

Timestamps (RFC1323) = ON
Note: Timestamps add 12 bytes to the TCP header of each packet, reducing the space available for useful data.

Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON

IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

after i tweaked my pc:

server keeps timing out..sooner or later ill post it..

RWIN is way to big, and MTU needs to be 1492, see : http://www.broadbandnuts.com/dslnuts/pppoe/pppoe.shtml
also on this page is link on far left for PPPoE:) :)

Buggyman, When our analyzer is down we have to send people wherever to get results, my advice to you is get analyzer on your site we can use, buy a Compaq and fix that sig
