The server is too busy at the moment. . .

vB seems to be running much slower then UB ever did, and more then 1/2 the time I can't even browse the forums because "The server too busy at the moment. Please try again later". Does vB have fewer simultaneous connections available then UB? I usually have this problem at the [H]ard Forums, and now I'm experiencing it here. Everyone says vB is faster, and when I CAN browse, it's slow, and usually I can't connect. Does the forum still need tweaking, or will it remain like this?

Same problems here, although I understand the staff is working hard on the new boards.

vB ( actually the database backend ) seems to require much more RAM than anticipated, which is part of the problem. Also, there is much more interest from users than usual, combined with our tunning up the system and constantly restarting the database...

We will be doubling the Server RAM in a couple of days, which will eliminate the problems, and I'm still trying to optimize MySQL.
