Looking for mac tweaks for dsl

I have found that the dsl line on my imac is not going as fast as it should. Does anyone have any suggestions as to enhance/tweak the dsl on an imac? Appreciate your help!

The only tweak that I have found to speed up internet on a MAC is to Drag behing my truck on the freeway :D .
MAC's are great if you like giant paper wieghts.
