TCP options string = 020405860103030201010402
MTU = 1454
MTU is not fully optimized for broadband. Consider increasing your MTU to 1500 for better throughput.
MSS = 1414
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1414, which is equal to MSS.
MSS is not fully optimized for broadband (although it might work well for slower connections). Consider increasing your MTU value.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 256960
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 2 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 64240
For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
520352 (MSS x 46 * scale factor of 8)
260176 (MSS x 46 * scale factor of 4)
130088 (MSS x 46 * scale factor of 2)
65044 (MSS x 46)
bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 10278.4 kbps (1284.8 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 4111.36 kbps (513.92 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
Time to live left = 47 hops
TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000
Does not matter if registry shows it, you have 1454 in there too here's how to fix it here (http://forums.speedguide.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=14&t=000466) :)
Change 1454 to 1500 if you are not on PPPoE :)PPPoE you have to log on with name and password.
PPPoE ( Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet ) is a method for building PPP sessions and encapsulating packets, as described in RFC2516. Although it is not a standard, PPPoE is already being used by a number of DSL providers. It requires either routers that have built-in PPPoE support, or PPPoE software to "dial up" and establish the session.

If your on PPPoE you have wrong patch installed and MTU should be 1492 :)
PPPoA can be either way a cable patch or PPPoE patch it depends on whether or not if its a static connection or if they use a program like PPPoE the only way to be sure is too see the tweak test if it comes in greater than MTU 1492 then its static if its below MTU 1492 then more than likely there using a PPPoE type of program or dialup program, posted by Dannjr
:)
bell sympatico say they dont know their settings
when i tried 1500 it would not load
tried 1496 and 1492 nothing
had to leave it at 1454
should i change rwin setting to work with
mtu of 1454 and mss of 1414?
thanks
Are you on PPPoE, do you log in with name and password :)
Well you have wrong patch installed thats why your MTU would not change, run Cablenuts patch again to clear registry and then do the Speedguide patches again, and the MTU thing if need be :)
