Anything else I might need for win98SE?

Hi. My cable has been doing really good ever since I tweaked it to the max. However, I seen a post by dannyjr concerning an NDIS fix for win98SE. Is this something I need to apply even if I am not having cable hanging problems like freezes and the like? I'm just wondering. Thanks :)
