I have ran all different programs and tweeks and I still cant get it optimized with my cable modem. All of the programs I have tried only work with Dial ups. Can some one tell me a good tweek program or what tweek I should use to tweek my settings to get a better speed.
Thanks
Drake

PS. Below is my results

TCP options string = 0204059c0103030001010402

MTU = 1476
MTU is not fully optimized for broadband. Consider increasing your MTU to 1500 for better throughput. If you are using a router, it could be limiting your MTU regardless of Registry settings.

MSS = 1436
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1436, which is equal to MSS.
MSS is not fully optimized for broadband (although it might work well for slower connections). Consider increasing your MTU value.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 2144
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 2144
For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
505472 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
252736 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
126368 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
63184 (MSS x 44)

bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 85.76 kbps (10.72 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 34.304 kbps (4.288 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
Consider increasing your RWIN value to optimize TCP/IP for broadband.

MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON

Time to live left = 116 hops
TTL value is ok.

Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF

Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON

IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

What type of service do you have cable/dsl/PPPoE, OS, CPU :)

I ran the program from cablenut and the the patch MS Vtcp.386 fix for Windows 98. I loaded the file cable_fast_9x.ccs hit save and rebooted ran the test and again I still have problems. Where can I find what numbers have to go in to each of the feilds in the program.

Are you home networked or on proxy server and please post test results :)

I have a Cable DSL Router from linksys it acts as the dhcpd server and my test results now are:

TCP options string = 0204059c0103030101010402

Any thing you can do would be great!

It's not right but will have to wait on one of the Geru's to figure this out :)

If you want 1500MTU with your Linksys router you will need the newest beta firmware for it. You will then need to set the 1500MTU in the router settings under "Filters"

Linksys Firmware: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark%2c718091%3broot=equip%2c16%3bmode=flat#718091

otherwise a good value for RWIN is:
505472 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
252736 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
126368 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
63184 (MSS x 44)

Hey cablenut, Thanks
I got the MTU up to 1500 now how do I tweek my RWIN. What do I do I fix this. "For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS."

TCP options string = 020405b40103030101010402

MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.

MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which is equal to MSS.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 123496
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 1 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 61748
For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
64240 (MSS x 44)

Try 385440, 405880 417560 or 438000 or 449680
If you are using Cablenut adjuster put number in Box the says DefaultRvcWindow, Leave GlobalmaxTcpWindoSize-BLANK, save to registry at bottom and reboot after each change. Find the one that works best for you :)

Hey Drake!
What cablenut is telling you is to do is try theses numbers. they are in your test list.
505472
252736
126368
63184
Opening up you cablennut folder and look for the adjuster Icon... double click on it and it opens up your adjuster... look for the DefaultRCVwindow.. change that number to one of the above and while you're in there check the GlobalMaxTPCFwindow size, if it's blank leave it blank. If there is a number in there remove it and leave it blank.then click Save to Registery then click done.. close it up and reboot.. try each one and see which one works best! :)
