Why does DSLR tweak tester say to use a RWIN between 14520 - 37752 and Speedguide.net says to use 511104 (scale of 8),127776 (scale of 2), 63888, or 255552 (multiple of MSS)?

Mindspring DSL 1500/384 (getting 517/107)
Win Me
RASPPPOE
Speedstream 5260 modem

I can't explain why dslr likes small RWIN's, but the only way to find out is to try both and see with you prefer, I already know answer but you have to experiment to find out. :)

dpl882,
It all has to do with Theory of calculations.
When you Use Rwin numbers you are using a formula of MTU, MSS, and scaling... and so forth.
Each one of these Website has someone who uses a certain formula to get their numbers!
A good discussion about this is here-->A Speedguide Post (http://forums.speedguide.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=2&t=007975)It's long.. but kinda give you an Ideal what they do to get numbers.Have fun reading!
