I don't know either but I do know you can call a 800 number and ask, and then we all know what to do, but generally you have to log on with name and password if your on PPPoE:
PPPoE you have to log on with name and password.
PPPoE ( Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet ) is a method for building PPP sessions and encapsulating packets, as described in RFC2516. Although it is not a standard, PPPoE is already being used by a number of DSL providers. It requires either routers that have built-in PPPoE support, or PPPoE software to "dial up" and establish the session.

Note: If your ISP has implemented PPPoE and you are tweaking the Windows Registry, note that PPPoE supports MaxMTU=1492 or less, rather than 1500.
Please see this thread by another member:http://161.58.189.82/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=14&t=000138
Also this one:http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc2516.html
This should set MTU to 1492 for 95/98/SE/W2k/NT4
No ME yet: http://microsyspro.com/
The above is for Enternet x DSL Software :)

No PPPoA is different than PPPoE, ask about this in cable and dsl forum, they know more on the subject, and no MTU would not be 1500 :)
