Different modem drops speed , Errrr !

The cable company just swapped my an rca dcm 235 fro my surfboard 3100 . Man this thing is a piece of cr@p . I called their tech service department and asked them about a problem with usb and the said oh it's not REAlly usb . It's not compatible with win me and to run in windows you have to boot in safe mode unload all usb drivers . Total bunch of crap . I am an a+ cerifiend professional and that is total bs . The d@mn thing just doesn't work period . I use to get like 10,000 KbPs (kilobits) Now i get like 5500 with this junk and i know my caps haven't changed i still get like 1200 uploads . This is total garbage . The service guy for rca said that if you view the modems diagnostic page it voids the warranty (wtf) . Don't buy rca garbage . I'm demanding a surfboard 3100 from the comcast nazis till i can find a sb4100 for less than a second mortgage on my house.If anyone can spin me in the right direction about where to get one cheap i'd be much abliged . :D

Man what a mess, my RCA fried one night and they (Comcast) gave me a new SB 3100 and my downloads picked up by 200KBytes off the bat,
they would have to kill me to get this away from me, sorry about your mess, and stay away from that page!!!!!!!! :confused: :confused:

Hi Vic 451: I know how it feals I had a real nice 3com CMX that went to the bone yard well a tech came out and gave me a new Toshiba PCX1100 thats about half the price of the 3com CMX - So I called my ISP and said I won't a new 3com CMX and they said you will have one installed Tuesday so Call your ISP and tell them how you feal about the Modem
