In win2k, its easy to specify the binding order of your protocols, but in winme its not. Does anyone know of a registry edit to do this? I want to use netbeui for my lan and then ipx for lan gaming, then tcp/ip for going out to the net. (in that particual order)Anyone out there with this problem also?
Welcome to Speed Guide C6923829...
To use NetBEUI as the LAN protocol, bind File and Printer Sharing and Client for MS Networks to it only. For LAN games requring IPX, install IPX on all computers that will participate in games. Leave TCP IP on all computers that will participate on the internet.
