Hi guys. I have a cable going from Alcatell modem to the back of my DI-704 router. My pc is hooked up to one of the ports on the router. All the lines are on. I can http connecto to the router, enter my PPPoE username/password and hit connect. The lights on the modem flash a few times but it does not establish the connection, and says Modem not ready? What is the problem? I've tried it with two different dsl modems
Thanks
The modem is hooked up to the WAN port and your using the cable that came w/the modem, correct?

Yes, i do. Today i talked to the support people, they told me to load the new firmware, which i did succesfuly. But still can't connect.
The modem not ready is normal when using a cable or dsl modem. That status is for a serial type modem or a null modem cable hooked up to the 9 pin connector.
Any luck in getting it to work? I just bought the DI-704 last night, and am having the same problems. Noticed you psted the message a while ago. Di you find a solution? Please advise.
Thanks
