Hello,
I have a 700Mhz Duron, 256 MB Ram, 10/100 Ethernet card (3COM), 20GB Harddrive with Win98 (all updates as of 2000/12/30) and I.E. 5.5. Okay that having been said here we go... My neighbor has me connected into his network via the 10/100 ethernet card. So I am always connected to his DSL connection. I haven't cancelled my dial-up account until all my contacts know my new e-mail address. When I use my dial-up I get the DUN Icon in my task tray. I like that. My neighbor is running Win2K and his DSL and gets the same ICON. Is there a way I can get this icon to display in my task tray? I have checked my network settings but don't know what I could change to have the result I want. I know this was probably more information than anyone would need. Thanks to everyone (or anyone) that takes the time to answer this inquiry. Before anybody comments on the legality of this endeavor let me explain this. I pay for a portion of the bandwidth allotted to me. So no I am not getting something for nothing.

There are a no. of apps for monitoring connections. To name a few:
DU Meter (http://www.hageltech.com/dumeter/) NetStat Live (http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network/nsl.htm) Net Medic (http://www.ins.com/software/medic/index.asp)
