I'm trying to install a second network card on the same machine, so i can share my cable modem with another machine. But when i instal the second one, the first one quits & becomes disabled and uses the second one's driver? is there some settings that can eliminate this problem?

Make sure they both have different IRQ"S. I don't know this may be your problem. Just Guessing don't know for sure. Not enough information.
