I'm trying to us MS's Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) software and am only occassionally successful. My four computers are connected by Netgear Phoneline cards. (The supplied Netgear software - Fatpipe - has never worked.) Problem: when I reboot the host machine there's a 70% chance it won't reestablish an internet connection (DSL). Nevertheless WINIPCFG.EXE shows all cards present and with IP addresses and leases, etc. No amount of fussing and reinstalling of cards and protocols ever clearly reestablishes the connection. When I get reconnected, it's always by rebooting until it catches. Without the ICS loaded there's no problems connecting one 'puter. Any ideas why the host can't catch the connection? Thanks.

One of youe network cards maybe bad. If you have to reinstall all that just to reconnect.Plus check all your connections and make sure they are working properly to.
Hope this helps! Plus you might check your software and make sure it is setup right to. Or reinstall it.

Thanks, Storm. I don't need to reinstall all the cards, protocols, etc. just to reconnect. I just have to keep rebooting until it catches. I've deleted the protocols, etc. to see if that helps, but it doesn't. Any more ideas gang? Thanks.
