Changing NIC's

I plan to change my 10 nic to a 10/100. Will it delete all my settings when I remove the currently installed card ?

If you are going to change it. Delete it from the system frist. When it ask you to restart say no and shut the computer down as if you were turning it off for the night. Then remove the old nic and install the new nic and the computer will pick up the new nic and the settings for the old nic will be gone. Hope this helps!
