Ok Here it goes! I have just signed up for Verizion Infospeed In NY and have 3 Dsl modems sitting in front of me (2 usb speedstreams 4060 and a 3 Com pci) Should I A: hook one modem up to each computer, I know that I can be on only one connection at a time, which is probobally going to be a pain in the ass. Or B: if this will work Use a USB to ethernet adapter (no more slots in the older computers) to connect to a lynksys router to a ethernet DSL modem. I would like to know If anybody has used these USB to ethernet adapters and if they think they would work in this application. thanks in advance.

I have used the USB NICS before and they work great connected to your cable modem. They are rated about the same speed so yopu should not see a decrease in performance. Just dont use the USB NIC on the LAN side of your Network, then you will see the speed decrease. In file transfers from the Server with the USB nic to the clients. Thses things are great because you don't have to use a slot in your computer and you can just unplug it and use it in another machine if you choose to.
