split hops on trace routes?

I posted this before... but never got a response. Has anyone ever seen this before?

This is the 3rd hop of a trace route:

3 YYY YY 0.18 205.171.59.29 205.171.59.29
3 Y 0.18 208.46.126.77 208.46.126.77

It splits into 2.

Then there's this one, it splits 3 times:

3 YY Y 0.050 208.46.126.77 No host name found.
3 Y Y 0.050 205.171.59.29 No host name found.
3 Y 0.050 208.46.127.113 Looking...

Sorry they look kinda messed up, I'm cutting and pasting. Does anyone know what would cause split hops?

Nevermind... fixed it. For those that wonder, it was what was known as a "split horizon." It was a router issue with the routing tables.
