Need some help here.

Ok. I've got 2 systems i wanna network. i've got a hub, 2 nics, and the extra ip from the cable provider. wanting to know where to go from here. i kinda have an idea of what to do, but to be honest i need help. http://www.speedguide.net/ubb/smile.gif thanks.

Ok you will need to setup the hub frist!You will need two extra rj45 cables. Run the rj45 cable from your modem to the uplink port on the hub. From the number one port from the hub, run a rj45 cable to the frist computers nic. (Or network card) Then from the seconed port on the hub run a rj45cable to the seconed computer. Ok now boot both computers up and check to see that they have both picked up there own Ip address. You can do this by checking under WINIPCFG in each computer. If not reset the modem. This should set you up for internet shareing.
Plus make sure in your network settings that each nic is detect in the computers.(1 nic computer) The Tcp\ip protocol is setup as default. If you want to share files with each computer let me know and I will explain how to do that. GoodLuck!
