ADSL? Please help..

ok here is my question im new to this network thing i know how to do some basic stuff but i cant figure this out. I have Escape ADSL (MTS.MB.CA) and i was wondering how to network 2 computers? my friend said he tried using a HUB but every 5 seconds it would reDirect Banwidth from one comp to the other so it sucked in games. Is there any other ways of doing this or is the hub he got really crappy please help me out thnx a lot 8)

Im not sure if this will help the modem is a 1Meg Modem From Nortel.

ya its the 1 megabit modem, i have bell sympatico HSE and its a 1.3 megabit external modem. I have 2 computer directly connected and if i'm gaming online and my sister starts downloading from napster, my pig goes to hell in the game

Use A switched hub and you should not have that problem. Plus buy extra Ip. If you use a software program you will still have the same problem. Or you could buy a router and that would sovle the problem to. Hope this helps
