I gave up my own internet connection via ISDN and now take part in a shared internet connection. So now my W95 machine is connected to a W2k machine over ethernet which again is connected to the net via DSL.
The download performance speeded by factor 12, but uploads used to have about 8 KB/s before - and have only about 3 KB/s now ...
But neiter the DSL connection to the net (uploads from the W2k machine directly are about 16 KB/s and only limited by the upstreams bandwith of 128 kbps) nor the ethernet connection itself (copying files between the two machines is as fast as it has to be in a 10 Mbps network) can be the limiting point.
All patches and tweaks I can imagine were applied. What can slow down my uploads then?
