proxy settings

Greetings,

I currently have RoadRunner service...in addition, i also have a dialer setup on my pc to connect to work for my analog modem...my default setting in IE is set to point to my proxy server here at the office...

the problem arises, when i log in to roadrunner and start up my browser...the browser is binding to the default settings to my work dialer - looking for the proxyserver at the office...

is there a workaround that i can do without having to change the settings each time i decide to logon to roadrunner or when i decide to dial in to the office...

if you have the connection settings in the explorer to dial a connection, then there is not work around, it will prompt you to dial a connection. If you want to bypass the proxy server settings for local address, there is an option to select that and enter the url address you want to bypass.(for the proxy server) if you dial a connection, and use a lan, then I would set the explorer to use a lan, then when you want to dial a connection, simply create a shortcut to the dialer on the desktop and use that when you want to dial a connect, that way the explorer will not prompt you to dial a connection every time you open it. hope that helps.
