@HOME, Linksys Router, and news/mail

Let me begin by saying I am successfully connected to @HOME cable modem service via a Linksys Cable/xDSL router. I read the review of this router on this site last night, and this morning, went to find out the server name for mail and news purposes. I successfully pinged the server from one computer, wrote down the necessary information, reconnected the modem to the router, and logged back in. I am still unable to connect to the mail/news server, and if possible, would like some help on this. There are currently two users on the router, and on the computer I use, I use Outlook Express to access mail and news. Any help getting this set up would be very appreciated, thanks
