Ok, It fixes the problem but not the linksys.
I got hold of a piece of software for $50 called NetMax Firewall from cybernet.com
Installs really simply in less than an hour on any old pentium box you have - even 486++.
It is a Linux OS preconfigured as a router, and can be managed from a web interface just like all the other routers.
Pretty cool. Now I can leave the Linksys corruption problem to those who cn address it better.
